St. Johns River KOA

I agree with other reviewers, the only Two positive things I can say… A) the staff was very friendly. B) the bathrooms and showers were clean. Otherwise, this KOA does not live up the expectations of the KOA campgrounds. For the current starting price of $45 I expect more. The campground gave me more an industrial feeling than a recreational. A huge power line with huge posts is crossing right thru the center of the campground and the view into the marina is, beside boats, some storage buildings with, on the positive site,  a tiki-hut bar in the back.

The campsites are gravel and brown grass with no drainage, other campers reported that the site was a pond after an afternoon rain  with a muddy mess.  They have a few campsites along a tree line, but the majority of the sites are pretty much set up like a parking lot.

The late-check-in instructions were incomplete, no code for bathrooms/shower and no information on Wifi.

For RV’ers wanting to bring a boat to water, this is a great campground!
