Oak Grove RV Park

On my way to White Sands it was time to find a campground before Sunset. Mostly I start looking to check-in into a place an hour prior sunset. In needed to be a campground with laundry facilities because it was about time to wash everything. This was the perfect choice! The very friendly, young camp-owner checked me in and made me feel welcome. The Autumn of the trees were amazing.
Oak Grove RV Park is located 13 miles from Cloudcroft in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains of South Eastern New Mexico.

The park has maintained gravel interior roads, with 30 Amp service’s on 19 spaces and 50 Amp on 2 spaces along with water and sewer on all of the spaces. The clubhouse has a bathroom, washer and dryers and a cozy room to hang with camper friends.

Driving 13 miles West you will find the cute town called Cloudcroft. Its extremely high elevation (8,600 feet (2,600 m); one of the highest in the U.S.) allows for a relatively mild summer that makes it a popular tourist attraction in West Texas and New Mexico.

Going even further West you will crossing more of the beautiful Lincoln National Forrest and parts of the road are very scenic. I drove this road on my way to White Sands National Monument
